Judge Keller closes the door to justice and a mans life.


    The laws must be followed. How can we say to the citizens 'follow the law' when those that impose the greatest of punishments do not follow the law. Whether you despise or feel for the defendant is irrelevant. The law must be followed by the convicted and the judges that impose sentence upon the convicted and free the innocent.
 

“In a government of laws, the existence of the government will be imperiled
if it fails to observe the law scrupulously. Our government is the potent,
the omnipresent teacher. For good or for ill, it teaches the whole people
by its example. Crime is contagious. If the government becomes a
lawbreaker, it breeds contempt for law; it invites every man to become
a law unto himself; it invites anarchy .” Olmstead v. U.S., 277 U.S. 438
